There you earn more money as in the university and mostly have more possibilities to do research.

A big number of journalist work as freelancer on the market. Also with general studies in economy you can work as freelancer and advisor of companies. The academic job has also a high prestige because of the challenge of the big business. Other elements are: a high degrees in professional organisation, personal and composion-and decisionfreedom in the acting as well as an own professionethik. The profession is limited against the job and to the avocation which should finance the livinghood in the long run. Earlier to the professions there only belong avocations like the doctor, lawyer and spiritual succour. Other avocations like consulting or social work are on the way of professionalisation.

The word career may mean totally different things to different people, so to make one’s career may be a very personal and individual path to follow. To some, planning their career and not looking left or right until they have reached their goal is the right thing to do, and the result is called having built a career. Other people follow their heart, their instincts, and this might mean that they take a “zig-zag” kind of road, which to outsiders may seem a bit lacking in coherence. This simply shows that there is no such thing as THE career, the one road. Being satisfied with what you do, putting your talents or your empathy to work, a job that is never boring, all this may be meant by “career”.

To make one’s career often has to do with knowing what is precisely the right thing for you. But this is difficult if the first steps have to be taken at the tender age of 16 or 19. A lot of people that age are still in their personal processes, they have a vague idea of what they want, but not necessarily a detailed career path in mind – unless they are influenced by adults, teachers or parents. But of course, this is often the impetus to study this subject or do that training. To make one`s career is more of a “super” goal, which keeps the person going. Yet, it`s still a question of what precisely is a career. Earning pots of money or enjoying each day of your professional life?

Money is important, and a person who gets underpaid at the same being overloaded with responsiblity or hard work, will end up all frustrated. But if money is less relevant because a person lives a fairly modest life, the chances are quite good that he will find just the right thing that fulfills his wishes. This may be anything, really: running a small shop, dancing, working with handicapped children, teaching one`s favourite subject. There is a career in it!

It is also because of these benefits that a worker becomes more inspired and encouraged to offer quality service and loyalty towards the company.
Unlike employees of the government that follows a standard procedure for acquiring security of tenure, private companies have their own respective policies. Adherence to these standard operating procedures is a must before any benefit can be availed. At the discretion of the private employer, these privileges may be increased or diminished provided that the laws governing labor will not be circumvented.
A tenured employee enjoys health benefits. Most companies have group health insurance policies taken out for their employees. The coverage may not be the same for rank and file and those belonging in the supervisory and managerial level but basically, primary health care is provided for all. Sometimes, other employers extend the benefit to the employee’s family members. In case there is none, an employee has the option to include his folks in the policy at his own expense.
Leave credits are among those that a regular employee will also get. One can take a holiday for a certain period of time while being paid at the same time. In some cases, unused leave credits can be converted into cash. Likewise, whenever an employee calls in sick, she can still be paid of his daily wage because the absence will be charged against his or her leave credits.
Bonuses are some of the benefits that a tenured employee gets. They can be given quarterly or annually depending on the company’s own policy. Undoubtedly something that every regular employee looks forward to receiving, a fat bonus is always a consolation to those who have rendered their best to the company.
Becoming a regular employee is no joke. However, you also get your own share of advantages for being one.

With such a huge task at hand, there is no room for mistakes and that is why you have to fully understand what the job description of a purchasing clerk is all about. First and foremost, as a purchasing clerk you will be stationed in the procurement department from where you will carry out all your duties.
Prior experience is not necessarily a must have while applying for such jobs. You may consider this an entry level position in any organization you wish to work for. In most cases, your superior will be the purchasing manager whom you will need to learn from and get orders from. Your daily work will involve interacting with suppliers as well as other purchasing personnel from within your organization. This will call for high command of communication skills either over the phone or with the clients in person. Any thing from your desk should reflect proper language and grammar as well as a clear sense of direction.
Organizational skills is a must have since filling and record keeping using hard copy orders will more that often be used. Although electronic purchase orders are currently becoming common, you will still need to familiarize yourself with such technologies. When you can quickly and easily retrieve needed information online, you stand a better chance in getting employed. Are you able to solve arising problems without the help of the mangers? Can you multitask without compromising the quality of your work? If your answer is yes, consider yourself hired. When you can comfortably provide solutions and help your department in reducing workload, you will become an integral part of the business.
You can start as a volunteer in any organization of your choice and develop the skills needed to adequately become a good clerk. This may also be a good opportunity for you to learn exactly how the purchasing department works. As much as this may seem easy, the job requires commitment and dedication. Focus and attention to details are some of the features and qualities which will make you the best candidate for the job.

Where formerly a trade someone had learned decades ago could be carried out for a long time, today this is not always the case, and one one may end with a dying trade. The whole industry respectively a lack thereoff, the transferral of production to cheap labour countries has turned some European countries into “service” nations where nothing is actually produced. So, a trade that was honest and valuable in the eighties may be a dying trade if not a dead one. This is a fact one may lament but it cannot be changed. What to do if one finds that the training one has received no longer allows for earning one`s money? A change of profession may be the answer and this happens to a lot people right now.
Flexibility, always knowing what the latest trends are in computers, technical gadgets, is part of this ever-changing scene. Things that are here today are gone by tomorrow, and this applies to a lot of jobs, too. So, a carpenter may find himself out of a job because furniture is produced cheap in some far away country, and his skills may no longer be needed. This may be hard on the individual, but since it affects so many people it has become a bit of a normal situation. The modern employee seems to have become kind of a chameleon, and he will usually do a number of jobs throughout his professional life. From baker or dress maker to office worker to consultant: This may sound a bit absurd, but you get careers like these, if a person is willing to switch professions and start afresh even at a relatively late stage in life. It makes you wonder what the “trendy” jobs will be in 10 years`time. The answer is a job in computers, all kinds of services, hotlines, repairs services, consulting jobs. Old crafts may be marvelled at at the museum. The pace is fast, and it will become even faster. What advice would one give a young person starting out? Follow your heart!
